“He is a Bantam Wheaten Americana and he is 5 months old. I showed him at the fair and he was the grand champion. That is why his name is Champion. Roosters are supposed to fertilize eggs and protect the flock. He is going to come to the fair next year and we hope we do as well. I have been showing for three years and have shown Turkeys as well as chickens. I really like working with them. They are kinda fun to work with and I like telling people about them.” #agriculture

“I live on a farm and I work at a pumpkin patch. I take care of the sheep and my friends like to come over and pet them. My job at the pumpkin patch is to do whatever I want (hehe). I like the hay rides the best. I am in the second grade and I am seven years old. I have two brothers and one sister. I can’t think of anything else important to say about me so that’s about it.” #agriculture

“This is Princess Oreo. I am 6-1/2 and Princess Oreo is 7 weeks old. My bunny drops her ears sometimes and I have to push them up. Sometimes I have to push her ears up a lot of times until they stay. I know the carry position and the show position. She is very nice and she doesn’t bite. I am showing my bunny in the Clover Buds 4-H.” #agriculture

“My goat is a Wether that means he is a boy. I feed him grain and hay but sometimes he eats the shavings, I don’t know why. I have showed goats since I was three years old. I keep my goat at my Grandmas. His name is Falcon because he is named after a superhero. There is Batman, Hulk and Thor who are superheroes too, but I liked the name Falcon.” #agriculture

“My sheep’s name is Mille Dew and she is a Hampshire cross. She is really nice. I have been showing sheep for two years. I got blue ribbons this year and last year. I also help out other kids with their animals. I would like to show a steer and horse next year. I like coming to the fair every year because it’s fun and sometimes you can see different things. “We have chickens on our farm, 4 cats, 3 dogs, 1 goat, 2 pigs and the two steers. I practice with my steer on showing every day. I walk him about 30 minutes. I have had him since he was a baby. I did good at the fair for my first year showing steers. I got sixth out of my class for fit and show. I got sixth place in market class too. Now he is home for us to feed out and get bigger before we butcher him. It doesn’t bother me because it helps with our food. If we didn’t have animals like this we wouldn’t be able…
