Skyler 2018 FFA

“I grew up on a typical family farm. Everyone assumes that because I grew up on a farm, that I am in FFA to be a farmer. People don’t realize that anyone can join FFA. I have made some of my best friends through this club. I get to do stuff with my friends that way and FFA has given me confidence. But I am not going to be a farmer; I plan on attending a technical program after high school. My advisors have encouraged me to attend the tech school by showing me how to weld and do some mechanic work. I would rather be doing something with my hands than be in an office. I plan on learning about heating and air and hopefully going into that business. FFA has been instrumental in my decision. I encourage kids to join a club in high school. It’s not only fun, but you make life-long friends.”
